How to Make Windows XP run Faster
You can defrag your Windows XP to make it running faster. but there’s not the only way to increase your Windows XP Performance..
here is the way :
- you can decrease your booting time by defragmenting. you better using ultra-133 hardisk or SATA hardisk buffer 8MB.
- if your RAM PC has lower than 512 MB. you should increase the capacity.
- Make sure the file system that you use for WIndows XP is NTFS. you can check it :
a. open Windows Explorer
b. right click on Drive C:
c. click propertiesif you use FAT32, you can change it, here is the instruction :
- back up your data
- click Start -> Run -> CMD
- in the command line, type this : CONVERT C: /FS:NTFS
note : Don’t Interupt when you were Conversing, and make sure your Hardisk is cleaned from virus
- deactivate File Indexing..Here is the instruction :
a. Open Windows Explorer
b. right click on Drive C:
c. click properties
d. uncheck “Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching.”
e. click Apply, Show : apply changes to “C: subfolders and files”
